Days 188-193: Dance Tour and lazy summer days

Tomorrolandin jälkeisenä aamuna lähettiin takasin kohti Goesia, otettiin hyvät päikkärit ja lähettiin kohti keskustaa. Keskusaukiolla oli jokavuotinen Dance Tour Party, eli koko aukio täynnä porukkaa ja non-stoppina musaa eri dj:ltä. Oli oikein kiva ilta tyttöjen ja R:n kavereiden kanssa. Oltiin siellä suht myöhään, kunnes tultiin takasin kämpille. Seuraavana päivänä sitten olikin aika Annan ja Riikan lähteä kohti koti Suomea, kun minä vielä jäin muutamaksi viikoksi Hollantiin:)

The next morning after Tomorrowland we headed back to Goes, took a great nap and went to the city. There was the annual Dance Tour Party, which means that the market place in the center is full of people and on a stage there's dj:s playing non-stop. It was a really nice evening with the girls and the friends of R! We were there until quite late and then went back home. The next day it was time for the girls to head back home and I stayed in Holland for a couple of more weeks :)

Seuraavat päivät otettiin ihan rennosti vaan, R:llakin oli vasta alkanu loma samana päivänä kun mä pamahdin paikalle, niin vietettiin vaan kivoja kesälomapäiviä:) Nähtiin kavereita, käytiin vähän julhimassa, oltiin rannalla.. Vietettiin myös R:n isän syntymäpäiviä ravintolassa ja käytiin ostamassa sille uusi puhelin. Semmosta perus meininkiä vaan:) Hollannissa oli myös ihan järkyttävä helleaalto (yli 40 astetta lämmintä melkeen koko maassa!) niin eipä siinä kauheesti mitään edes voinukaan tehä kun vaan maata auringossa :D Helleaaltoa seuras sitten tietenkin kovat ukkosmyrskyt, enpä oo samanlaisia nähny Suomessa koskaan.

The next days we just relaxed and took it easy, R had just started his summer vacation on the same day as I came to Goes so we just hanged out and spent some great summer days:) met some friends, went partying, went to the beach.. We also celebrated R's dad's birthday in a restaurant and bought him a new phone. Just normal stuff:) There was also a big heat wave in Holland (more than 40 celcius degrees almost in the whole country!) so basically we  couldn't do anything than just lay in the sun :P After the heat there was of course big thunder storms, haven't seen anything like that in Finland..

Kesän kuumin päivä, joka yhtäkkiä markalla rannalle alkoikin muuttumaan myrskyksi. Taivas meni ihan pilveen ja hetken päästä tuli vettä kun sieltä kuuluisasta esterin perseestä. / The hottest day of the summer, which suddenly started to change to a storm. The sky filled up with clouds and after a while it rained like never before.

Day 187: TOMORROWLAND!

Tällasena pimeänä syysiltana on kiva muistella kesän lämpimiä päiviä;)

On a cold winter evening like this evening, it's nice to look back at the warm summer days... :)

Heinäkuun viimesenä lauantaina koitti päivä jota me ja n. 60 000 muutakin oli odottanut suht pitkään, eli TOMORROWLAND! lähettiin aamusesta ajelemaan kohti Antwerpeniä, ja matkalla alko sopivasti satamaan ihan kaatamalla. Ikinä en oo nähny että satais niin kovaa.. Ei siinä mitään, kamat hotellille ja sadetakkikaupan kautta bussilla kohti Boomia, eli festaripaikkaa. Petyin vähän kun sain kuulla että toi kylän nimi Boom tarkottaakin ihan vaan puuta :/ 

The last Saturday of July was the day that us and around 60 000 others had waited for a long time.. TOMORROWLAND! We left in the morning to Antwerpen and of course it started raining like crazy. I've never seen a rain that heavy.. Well, what can you do, we left our stuff at the hotel, bought raincoats and took a bus to Boom, where the festival was held. I was pretty disappointed when I heard that the name of the town, Boom, only means "a tree" :/

Saavuttiin ajoissa hoodeille ja sadekin sopivasti loppu matkalla. Oltiin niin innoissamme! Päästiin sisälle alueelle ja ensin käytiin ostamassa lipukkeita eli festarirahaa. 10€:lla sai 7 lipuketta, esim. bisse makso 2lippua, ruuat 3-7 lippua, eli ei ollu hinnoilla pilattu noita festareita. Muutenkin kaikki pelas. Vaikka siellä oli tosiaan se 60 000 kävijää per päivä, oikeestaan minnekään ei tarvinu jonottaa. Vessoissa oli juokseva vesi ja suomalaisille tutuista bajamajoista ei ollu tietoakaan. Kaiken kukkuraksi vielä kun tulit vessasta, sait käydä "fresh pointissa" jossa nostit vaan kätes ylös niin sulle suihkutettiin dödöä suoraan kainaloihin.:D

We arrived to the festival area nicely on time and the rain stopped on the way too. We were so excited!! We got in and the first thing we did was that we bought tokens. With 10€ you got 7 tokens and  for example a beer was 2 tokens and food was 3-7 tokens. So actually the prices were not that bad. Everything else at the festival was working perfectly. Even though there were around 60 000 visitors a day we didn't have to queue basically anywhere. The toilets had running water (that never happens at Finnish festivals). The cherry on the top was that when you left the toilet you walked by a "fresh point" where there were people putting deodorant and hair spray on you :D 

Kuvat varmaankin kertoo enemmän.. Lavoja oli monta ja kaikki uskomattoman upeita ja esiintyjistä puhumattakaan! Meidän festarikokemus oli erittäin hyvä. Ainut mikä vähän latisti tunnelmaa oli yöllä alkanut rankkasade mutta festarijärjestäjät ei vissiin siihen oikeen voi vaikuttaa :P

I bet that the pictures tell more than my writings.. So many stages, and they all looked awesome, not even going to talk about the artists haha. Our festival experience was pretty perfect. The only thing that made us feel a bit down was the heavy rain that started in the middle of the night but I think that the staff didn't have anything to do with it :P

Days 180-186: Goes & Vlissingen

20.-26.7.2013

20.6. lauantaina oli pikkasen perhosia mahassa.. Riikka ja Anna jatko matkaa Amsterdamiin, mutta mä päätin yllättää R:n ja mennä Goesiin vähän etuajassa. Kaikki oli suunniteltu valmiiksi ja mukana juonessa oli R:n vanhemmat, Gino ja pari muutakin kaveria. Matka Frankfurtista Goesiin meni tosi nopeesti, 7 tunnin aikana 6 eri junaa eli vaihdoin aika tiuhaan tahtiin. Reitti tais olla Frankfurt - Mainz - Düsseldorf - Venlo - Breda - Roosendaal - Goes, eli aikamoinen. Yhtäkkiä olinkin tutuissa maisemissa Goesin juna-asemalla, ja R:n äiti siellä jo mua odottelikin. Käytiin viemässä mun kamat kotio, ja lähettiin pyörillä kohti tenniskenttää missä oli poikien turnaus meneillään. Siellä se R pelaili ja me jäätiin vähän kauemmaks kattomaan ettei se huomais meitä. Äitinsä se bongas ja oli kuulema ihmetelly vaan että kenen kanssa se oikein juttelee. Ihan pelin loppumetreillä mentiin sitten lähemmäs kattomaan ja olihan se poika ihan ihmeissään. Ei se ensin edes tajunnu että mitä oikein tapahtuu. Peli loppu (Remon&Ricky voitti jee) ja ehittiin hetken aikaa rupatella ennen kun niillä alko toinen peli, jonka ne sitten hävis hehe. Kentiltä lähettiin ihan vaan kotiin viettämään tavallista koti-iltaa:)

20.6. Saturday was ane xciting day. Riikka and Anna continued their trip to Amsterdam but I decided to surprise R and go to Goes a bit earlier than expected. Everything was planned and R's parrents, Gino and a couple of other friends were helping me out to make it happen. The trip from Frankfurt to Goes went pretty quickly: 6 different trains in 7 hours, meaning that I changed the trains pretty frequently. If I remember correctly the trip was Frankfurt - Mainz - Düsseldorf - Venlo - Breda - Roosendaal - Goes. Soon I was standing at the railway station in Goes and R's mom was there waiting for me. We went home to leave my bags there and then headed to the tennis courts with the bikes. There he was, playing tennis and we stood there so far away that he couldn't recognize me. He waived to his mom and afterwards just told that he was wondering who is the girl she is standing with :P When the game was ending we went closer and when he realized it was me, he was pretty surprised haha. We were both a bit fuzzed for a moment I'd say. The game ended (they won with Ricky yayyy) and we had only a little bit of time to talk before they had to play another game which they then lost. From the courts we biked home and had the best home evening in a while:)

Sunnuntaina lähettiin vähän pyöräilemään ja käytiin läheisen rannan luona terdellä ja syömässä. Oli tosi lämmin! Maanantaina tytöt tuli kans Goesiin ja lähettiin rannalle. Muutenkin koko viikko meni aika pitkälti rannalla palloa pelaten ja lököillessä, oli meinaan niin kuuma ettei voinu oikeen muuta tehä. Tiistaina illalla minä, Riikka, Ramon ja Gino lähettiin paikkaan nimeltä Renessee yhteen baariin, jossa Ricky oli dj:nä. Oli oikein mukavaa ja pitkästä aikaa oikein kunnon bileilta :P Keskiviikkona kierrettiin Goesia, torstaina Vlissingeniä ja sielläkin oltiin rannalla. Perjantaina käytiin vähän kaupoilla ostamassa Ramonin vanhemmille kiitokseks pientä lahjaa, kun kuitenkin oltiin jo viikon verran asuttu ilmaseksi heidän luonaan. Ilta meni pakkaillessa ja huomista ja TOMORROWLANDIA odotellessa, olinko edes vähän innoissani!!

On Sunday we went biking and visited a beach nearby. We had a few drinks on a really nice terrace and then went eating to a restaurant. It was really warm! On Monday the girls came to Goes as well and we went to the beach. The rest of the week we basically spend at the beach because it was so freaking hot that one couldn't do anything else than just lay and play in the water. On Tuesday night me, Riikka, Ramon and Gino went to a town called Renesse to a bar where Ricky was playing. It was a lot of fun, a true party night haha. On Wednesday we had a Goes sightseeing day, and on Thursday we went to Vlissingen and to the local beach too. On Friday we went to buy something for R's parents as a thank you gift for letting us stay at their home. The evening went quickly, packing and waiting for TOMORROWLAND! I was preeetty excited!

Days 178&179: Frankfurt

18.-19.7.2013

Aamulla hyvästeltiin Birte ja Ray ja lähettiin juna-asemalle. Berliini oli kyllä ihan huippu paikka, pakko päästä uudestaan! Ihan vaan pelkästään jo Birten takia :) Ja oli muuten ihana päästä kaikkien keskiaikaisten kirkkokaupunkien jälkeen vähän modernimpaan ympäristöön ;) 

The next morning we said goodbye to Birte & Ray and went to the railway station, once again. Berlin was a great place, I really need to go back again! Also just because of Birte :) And btw, it was quite nice to go in a modern city after all the mid-eval church towns... ;)

Matka jatkui kohti Frankfurtia, joka onkin mun viimenen kohde ennen Goesia! Saavuttiin Frankfurtiin iltasella, heitettiin kamat maailman kuumimpaan hostellihuoneeseen ja lähettiin keskustaan. Käytiin syömässä vähän aasialaista sapuskaa, käveltiin ympäriinsä ja lopuksi vielä oluilla ennen kun suunnattiin hostellille takasin nukkumaan!

Our next destination was Frankfurt, and for me it was the last one before Goes! We arrived around six o'clock to our hostel, left our bags there and headed to the city. We had some Asian food, walked around the center, had a beer and went back to the hostel to sleep!

Seuraavana päivänä jatkettiin keskustassa kiertelyä ja shoppailua. Lounaan jälkeen Anna lähti käymään läheisessä Kronbergin kylässä, mutta me jäätiin Riikan kanssa vielä Frankfurtiin pyörimään. Alkuillasta tavattiin Annan vaihtarikaveri Nathalie ja käytiin syömässä perinteisessä saksalaisessa ravintolassa. Söin perunoita ja "vihreää kastiketta", jotain yrtti-jugurttikastiketta se oli ja sairaan hyvää! Kastike oli siis kylmää, joten sopi erinomaisesti kuumaan kesäpäivään. Kyytipojaksi maistettiin paikallista kuuluisuutta, eli omenaviiniä kuplilla joka ei kuitenkaan ole siideriä. Ota tosta sitten selvää, hyvää oli kuitenkin.

The next day we continued our Frankfurt city tour and shopping, haha. After lunch Anna left to visit a city called Kronberg but we stayed in Frankfurt with Riikka. Early in the evening we met Anna's exchange friend Nathalie and went to have dinner with her in a German restaurant. I had potatoes with "green sauce", a herb-yoghurt sauce. The sauce itself was cold, which fit the hot summer day perfectly! With the food we tasted the local famous drink, apple wine with sparkles but that is not cider. Ok, it was delicious anyway!

Raflasta suunnattiin kohti Main Toweria, jonka katolle pääsi superhissillä hintaan 3,5€, ei paha. Hissi nousi sekunneissa 200m korkeuteen ja ulkona avautu aika uskomattomat näkymät! Otettiin paljon kuvia ja fiilisteltiin maisemia hyvän aikaa, kunnes suunnattiin takas alas katsomaan auringonlaskua joenrantaan. Sieltä jatkettiin vielä vanhaan kaupunkiin oluille, jonka jälkeen minä ja Riikka mentiin hotellille ja Anna jäi vielä turisemaan Nathalien kanssa pariksi tunniksi. Niin vaan koitti mun InterRailin viimeinen päivä, mihin meni 1kk!? huhhuh..

After the restaurant we walked to the Main Tower of Frankfurt. You can get to the roof of it for the price of 3,5€, not bad I think. The elevator took us to 200 meters and the view was preeeetty amazing! We took a lot of pictures and just joyed the view for a good while before going back down to see the sun set by the river. Then, we went to have a beer in the old town and after that me and Riikka went back to the hostel, when Anna and Nathalie still stayed in the city to chat for a couple of hours more. And so, the last day of my InterRail was done! Where did one month go!!? I can't believe it..
